Under close and constant supervision, duties include assisting with the building and maintenance of fences, corrals and equipment; driving livestock to pastures for grazing, or to scales, trucks or other enclosures as directed by supervisor; helping with the movement and restraint of animals during breeding operations; observing and reporting any visible signs of ticks or parasites on animals to supervisor; helping to restrain and secure animals while experienced workers provide medical treatment; helping to restrain and secure animals while experienced ranch workers administer vaccinations; assisting with the movement and separation of animals during weaning procedures under the direction of the supervisor; observing and providing support tasks as directed during calving operations; helping with the branding of livestock for identification purposes by restraining animals and assisting experienced workers; assisting with hay production activities, including mowing, drying, baling and storing hay in preparation for winter feed; and performing other general ranch duties as assigned by the supervisor. Are available and indicate a willingness to work the entire season. 2- Have transportation to the job site at the start of the season. Transportation costs will be reimbursed. 3. Have been fully apprised by the local employment office of the terms, conditions, and nature of employment. 4. Are able, willing, and qualified to perform the work.
