Inductotherm Corp has an exciting opportunity for a Production Scheduler/Planner to join our Team, 100% on-site in Rancocas, New Jersey, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Job Summary:

The Production Scheduler / Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and expediting the flow of work and materials within and between departments in accordance with the master production schedule. This role supports the manufacture of engineered ‑ to ‑ order induction furnaces and related equipment by translating customer orders and engineering releases into executable production schedules. The Production Scheduler / Planner works closely with Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to balance capacity, material availability, and delivery commitments while maintaining accurate production data and reporting.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibility for assigned staff.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and expedite work orders, materials, labor, and equipment in alignment with the master production schedule.

  • Prepare and maintain daily and weekly production schedules for assigned departments.

  • Create and maintain routings, work orders, and stock/production orders within the ERP/MRP system.

  • Review material requirements and inventory status to ensure schedule feasibility and material availability.

  • Monitor capacity constraints, coordinate with supervisors, and resolve production bottlenecks.

  • Track production progress and maintain accurate schedules, records, and system data.

  • Compile and review reports on production status, inventory levels, costs, and production issues.

  • Perform related administrative and Production Control support duties as assigned.

  • Work independently while collaborating effectively as a team member.

  • Maintain a professional appearance appropriate to a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrate reliability, regular attendance, and flexibility to work a reasonable amount of overtime.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling a high volume of work accurately and efficiently.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.

  • Exposure to capacity planning concepts, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Knowledge of induction furnace manufacturing, capital equipment, or heavy industrial equipment is a plus.

    Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in production planning, scheduling, or production control strongly preferred.

  • Experience in custom, make ‑ to ‑ order, or engineered ‑ to ‑ order manufacturing environments is a plus.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand information presented in writing.

  • Ability to listen to and understand information presented verbally.

  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods, and traverse the manufacturing facility as needed.

  • Must possess a current and valid driver’s license.

  • Must disclose any surgical implants, pins, braces or other devices that could be affected by induction fields.

    Salary: Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications.

    Salary Range: $22.00 - $26.00/hour

    Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
