Job Duties: - Perform electronic and mechanical subassembly and assembly operations for PC boards, cable harnesses, and simple electronic/mechanical assemblies - Prepare components for assembly including cutting, stripping, wiring, and fastening connections - Perform rework when necessary - Pull and strip raw cable - Work from diagrams, prints, and engineering specifications - Use hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, and crimpers - Use potting materials and other chemicals in product assembly - May operate drill presses and similar equipment Qualifications: - 1-3 years of experience in electronic assembly - Complex assembly skills - Excellent fine soldering skills and strong hand/eye coordination - Experience in electronic construction/repair of PC cards and wiring - Experience with cable assembly - Ability to work on small, color-coded boards - Basic electrical theory preferred Education: - High School Diploma or Trade School
