JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF POSITION The Supervisor I is responsible for the quantity and quality of work through planning, organizing, and directing the actions of operators, technicians, or maintenance personnel and ensuring work is performed in compliance with procedures, policies, and industrial safety practices. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in the discipline to be supervised Additional education may be substituted for experience on a case-by-case basis Other Requirements: Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Problem solving and conflict resolution skills Excellent organizational skills Strong leadership and decision-making abilities Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. The salary and grade level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the candidates education, training, and/or relevant experience MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/SCOPE OF WORK Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following established safe work practices and procedures; including following all safety rules, use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE), investigating and reporting identified safety concerns or situations. Implement and adhere to standards contained in the Company Code of Conduct, Company EEO practices, and DOE directives. Implement Integrated Safety Management Systems (ISMS) and its guiding principles and core functions into the management and work practices at all levels of the planning and execution of work. Implement standards contained in the Company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct, Corporate EEO practices, and DOE directives. Ensure the safety of all employees. Ensure all employees in assigned work group are knowledgeable of system safety aspects and comply with all procedures and work documents. Ensure proper logs are kept and equipment malfunctions or procedural problems are identified and described in appropriate work documents. Plan work and schedule crew assignments.
