Sanitation Worker Our dairy cooperative is seeking a regular, full-time Sanitation Worker. This is a 40 hours /week, primarily on 1st shift with schedule flexibility, willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays and rotate shift, as required. At times overtime, weekend work, holiday and shift rotation will be mandatory. The Sanitation Worker will provide the support necessary in meeting and exceeding established standards and goals. Assist in specialized cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, walls, floors, racks and other areas in the plant and surrounding areas to ensure compliance with customer specifications and company policies related to GMP\'s and safety. Skills, Abilities and Knowledge: -Ability to learn and follow SQF, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HAACP), GMPs and sanitation regulations. -Understand all facets of the cleaning procedures for processing equipment, including conveyors, machines, packaging equipment and Dry cleaning. -All food safety issues and incidents are to be reported to the QA Department either directly by the employee or through another member of plant leadership. -Work effectively in a multi-tasking environment, work independently and as part of a team, work with minimum supervision and ability to interact positively with others at every level of the organization. -Detail oriented. -Identify and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. -Handle situations or problems that occur with a high level of professionalism and direction. -Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to read and understand instructions and manuals. -Basic computer skills. -Add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. -Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive Ability to grow and support a team environment. -Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. -Ethics - Treat people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, work with integrity and ethically and uphold organizational values. Act as a responsible steward of the environment. Qualifications and Education Requirements: -Minimum high school diploma, GED or HiSET. -Manufacturing experience preferred. -Experience in the food industry preferred. Work Environment: -Work involves exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, wet environment, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. -Physical Effort-Moderate: -Standing for extended periods of time with frequent stooping, twisting, kneeling, walking and crouching. -Frequent stair climbing -Occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. -Occasional handling and maneuvering of objects weighing more than 50 lbs. -Frequent squeezing, loosening, twisting and holding items overhead, e.g., hose triggers, connections and pipes weighing 2-3 lbs. on average. -Work environment involves exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
