Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in West Palm Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in accounting practices and demonstrate a proven ability to manage diverse financial responsibilities. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to key areas such as compliance, reporting, and portfolio management.
Responsibilities:
• Handle accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes efficiently and accurately.
• Manage loan portfolios and oversee treasury operations to ensure financial stability.
• Administer investment portfolios and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and reporting requirements.
• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support quarterly reporting efforts and assist in preparing presentations for board meetings.
• Execute month-end closings, including journal entries and general ledger adjustments.
• Complete account reconciliations and ensure financial data integrity.
• Address ad hoc financial requests and provide analytical support as needed.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online for accounting tasks and maintain proficiency in its features.
• Apply non-profit accounting knowledge to meet the unique needs of the organization. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Proficiency in performing month-end close processes and handling general ledger tasks.
• Strong expertise in journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Demonstrated ability to execute bank reconciliations with precision.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online is highly desirable.
• Experience in non-profit accounting is preferred.
• Solid understanding of compliance reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage investment and loan portfolios effectively.
