Job Title: Welder Job Description
The welder will utilize TIG and stick welding techniques for pipe fabrication, specifically for process piping. The role involves welding stainless steel and carbon materials, predominantly focusing on Schedule 10, Schedule 40, and Sani-tube tasks.
Responsibilities
Use schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to determine the layout of pipes and devise welding plans.
Assemble and install various metal pipes and pipe fittings, including stainless steel.
Perform own gouging to ensure welds are clean and require no rework.
Clean, prepare, and install pipes with various fittings and weld joints according to standardized protocols.
Collaborate with pipe fitters to address and correct potential issues during welds.
Adjust flames, gauges, and flames to ensure appropriate handling of compressed gas or water pressure.
Thread piping as necessary.
Occasionally assist millwrights and engage in training to become multi-skilled.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience in TIG welding, stick welding, and pipe fabrication.
Proficiency in overhead welding.
Understanding of 6G welding (experience is a huge plus).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with MIG welding and fabrication.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work Environment
The company specializes in process piping for the chemical and food & beverage industries, promoting team settings at project sites. Projects typically last a few weeks but can vary. Working hours are generally from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, with overtime as needed. Employees must wear long sleeves and, after a few weeks, will receive a company shirt. Personal hoods, steel-toed boots, and tools are required. Occasionally, overnight travel is necessary, with compensation for gas and a daily per diem.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
