ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
His High Places is a faith-based, 501 (c) (3) non-profit, residential, Christian Counseling Ministry that has operated in the High Country of North Carolina for over 40 years. We minister primarily to Christians by providing a quiet, refreshing place to receive biblical counseling and insight into life's challenges.
MISSION
The mission of His High Places is to minister to Christians who are in crisis, at a crossroads in their lives, or who desire added life-coping skills. We achieve these goals together through a combination of biblically based teaching, prayer, and diagnostic spiritual direction in a nurturing, comfortable atmosphere where our clients can respond to the work of the Holy Spirit.
JOB PURPOSE
To prepare an evening meal for clients and counselors at the His High Places counseling center Monday - Thursday evenings. An excellent presentation of food and table setting is key in creating a rich communal dining experience for each HHP guest. The cook is also responsible for maintaining a professional kitchen (meeting sanitation standards), menu planning, and grocery shopping.
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS
Professional Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or in process)
- Experience with menu planning, budgeting, and preparing meals.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary restrictions/preferences (vegetarian, gluten free, keto, food allergies etc.)
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task
- Warm, pleasant personality
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary training or experience

Demonstrates evidence of faith in Jesus Christ and displays character in agreement with Gods Word
Promotes a positive, ministry-minded, and healthy environment as a team player
- High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information
