The Lead Receptionist is responsible for overseeing front desk operations and ensuring the safety and security of residents, staff, and visitors within the nursing home. This role combines customer service leadership with facility security management to maintain a welcoming, safe, and compliant environment.
Job Details
Responsibilities will include:
Supervise and schedule reception staff to ensure continuous front desk coverage
Maintain timekeeping and payroll
Ensure proper visitor sign-in/sign-out procedures and identification protocols
Ensure professional, courteous, and compassionate interactions with residents, families, and visitors. Address and resolve visitor concerns or complaints promptly
Communicate policies and updates to staff and visitors effectively
Train reception staff on customer service standards, confidentiality, and emergency protocols
Work closely with nursing, maintenance, and administrative departments
Participate in emergency preparedness planning (fire drills, evacuation procedures, lockdown protocols)
Serve as a point of contact for emergencies and coordinate response efforts
Oversee phone systems, visitor logs, and front desk procedures
Monitor access control systems, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems
Maintain accurate reports and logs related to security and front desk operations
Order and maintain supplies for reception and security.
Salary Range
USD $21.84 - USD $36.78 /Hr.
Requirements:
High school diploma required
1-2 years of experience in security, hospitality, healthcare, or related field
Prior supervisory or management experience
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Knowledge of safety regulations and emergency procedures
Proficiency in basic computer systems (Microsoft Office, security software)
Requires weekends, and holidays rotations
The rate for this position is $21.84-$36.78 per hour.
