Aerotek Production Associate in West Henrietta, New York

Production Deburring & Finishing Technician

Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Position Overview

As a Production Deburring and Finishing Technician , you will play a key role in the final stage of the manufacturing process by ensuring machined components meet strict quality, safety, and appearance standards. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed, precision-driven work and takes pride in producing high-quality finished parts in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from machined components using hand tools, power tools, grinders, buffers, and polishing equipment.

  • Perform deburring, grinding, buffing, and polishing operations to achieve smooth, consistent finishes.

  • Inspect parts visually and with basic measuring tools to verify quality and dimensional accuracy.

  • Follow work instructions, blueprints, and process documentation to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times.

  • Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or equipment issues promptly.

  • Collaborate with machinists, quality inspectors, and production team members to support workflow and meet production deadlines.

  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.

  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, operational procedures, and company policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used for deburring and finishing.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and process sheets.

  • Basic experience using measuring tools for inspection purposes.

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to meet production targets.

  • Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in general labor or production roles within manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with grinders, buffers, polishers, and similar finishing equipment.

  • Experience working as part of a cross-functional production team.

  • Pride in producing visually clean, precise, and flawless finished parts.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
