Kelly Services Forklift Operator - Shipping and Receiving in West Fargo, North Dakota

Job Title: Forklift Operator – Shipping & Receiving

Location: Fargo, ND

Schedule:

  • April to June: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM; every other Saturday, 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

  • Rest of the year: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Kelly is searching for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join a dynamic Shipping & Receiving team. If you have a passion for warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and excellence in material movement, we encourage you to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently

  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers per company safety standards

  • Verify and receive incoming shipments against bills of lading/packing slips

  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including staging, labeling, and completing documentation

  • Move materials to proper warehouse locations and maintain accurate inventory placement

  • Conduct cycle counts and support inventory control measures

  • Keep work areas, warehouse aisles, docks, and storage locations clean and organized

  • Identify and report damaged or defective products

  • Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use and regular equipment inspections

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Valid forklift certification, or ability to obtain certification

  • 1+ years of forklift operation experience in warehouse/shipping/receiving preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

  • Team player who can work independently

  • Safe forklift operation

  • Time management and warehouse organization

  • Basic math/counting skills

  • Problem-solving and accuracy under pressure

Work Environment:

  • Active warehouse setting with varying temperatures

  • Frequent lifting, bending, and physical work

  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven shipping and receiving operations
