7 Lakes Cafe LLC Line Cook in West End, North Carolina
Cook on egg grill, meat grill or pancake/fryer station. Cook food items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation specifications. Assist in the set-up of the kitchen before service begins and clean up afterward. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats and measuring spices. Ensue all dishes are prepared to the restaurant's specification and quality standards. Work closely with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow. Communicate effectively with the front-of-house staff to coordinate orders and timing. Adhere to food safety standards, including proper storage and handling of food items. Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a line cook position. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to stand for a long period and lifting up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in a hot noisy, and sometimes stressful environment. Hours are either 5:30A - 2:00P, 7A-2P, 9A-2P or 10A-2:00P. The restaurant closes at 2:00 PM but clean-up and food prep for the next day is done from 2:00P-2:30P. Fulltime and parttime positions available.
