Job Description
As a Solderer Tech A, you will troubleshoot and repair electronic circuit boards down to the component level. You will understand electronic circuits, read complex schematic diagrams, and use test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and volt meters. Your role will involve performing both surface mount and thru-hole soldering techniques, handling hard drive devices, and maintaining ESD policy standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining satisfactory quality performance levels and keeping a clean, organized workstation.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuit boards at the component level.
Read and interpret complex schematic diagrams and layouts.
Use test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and volt meters.
Perform surface mount and thru-hole soldering techniques.
Handle hard drive devices while adhering to ESD policy standards.
Maintain quality performance levels and a clean, organized workstation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
2+ years of soldering experience.
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Attention to detail.
Proven ability to test and troubleshoot various types of electronic circuit boards.
Experience in board-level and multi-layer board repair.
Proven track record with various IC packages.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Set Top Boxes and Gateways Circuits.
Experience with voltmeter and oscilloscope.
Ability to multitask.
Proactive problem-solving ability.
Soldering and de-soldering skills.
Knowledge of electronic circuit componentry and theory.
Electronics Certification.
Ability to pass a Technical Aptitude Test.

Work Environment
You will work in a clean, temperature-controlled environment on the 1st shift in West Chester from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chester, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.50/hr.
