This is a 2nd shift, temp‑to‑hire opportunity offering hands-on experience, stability, and room to grow. Strong performers will have the opportunity to develop advanced fabrication skills and potentially grow into a welding role over time.
At a Glance
Location: Onsite – West Chester, OH
Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM Mandatory overtime on Fridays (6–8 hours)
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr
Your Impact
As a Fabricator , you’ll support the full fabrication process for fire protection systems—from cutting and threading pipe to assembling and preparing materials for shipment. You’ll work alongside a team of driven, reliable professionals in a shop known for strong teamwork, pride in craftsmanship, and safety-first operations. Cross‑training across all areas of the shop will help you build a well‑rounded, in‑demand skill set.
What You’ll Do
Move loose or bundled pipe throughout the shop and pipe yard
Assemble pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) while maintaining organized work areas
Measure, record, and add random pipe lengths accurately using a tape measure
Measure and cut pipe using band saws and/or torches
Thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines
Set up, operate, and maintain fabrication machinery
Perform quality checks using gauges and measuring tools
Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines
Inspect and assist with maintaining forklift equipment (assessment required)
Follow all safety procedures for fabricating, stacking, and shipping materials
Remain flexible and cross‑train throughout all areas of the shop
Note: This is a non‑welding role , though advancement into welding may be available based on performance and business needs.
Required Qualifications
1 year of recent machine operation experience (machinery, band saws, automatic welding machines, or mechanical environments) – Recent trade school graduates considered in place of experience
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
Experience using gauges for quality inspections
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow work instructions
Solid math skills and mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new responsibilities
Comfort working in a non‑climate‑controlled manufacturing environment
Preferred Experience
Experience operating pipe threaders, roll groove machines, band saws, plasma cutters, or pneumatic banders
Ability to sort and shift pipe ranging from ½” to 10”
6–8 months of fire sprinkler pipe fabrication experience
Backgrounds in automotive, diesel, machinery maintenance, farm equipment, or production lines
Strong hands‑on manufacturing background with consistent work history

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
