All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform the work described in this job description and must be available for the entire period of employment specified in box 3 & 4, page 1. Workers will perform any combination of the following tasks daily: plant, maintain and harvest diversified ground crops which include corn, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, beets, cucumbers, squash, beans, tomatoes, pumpkins, eggplant, peppers, brussels sprouts & herbs. Workers will perform field work, weeding, thinning, hoeing, unloading hay and other duties related to the planting, maintaining and harvesting crops. Workers will work in greenhouses planting and transplanting seedlings and will also plant and transplant crops in the field. Workers will work in a storage building washing, culling, and preparing produce for storage and distribution. Workers will help load and unload trucks. Workers may operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles and farm machinery to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmer's fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or western union on an as needed basis.
