Job Description:
A Brief OverviewTo aid and assist in the development, implementation, utilization and maintenance of the day to day operations of the Home Health Care and Hospice Departments at Great River Medical Center. Works closely with departmental supervisors in the supervision of staff and plays an integral role in department operations, including but not limited to—hiring, suspending, laying off, recalling, promoting, discharging, assigning work, and rewarding.What you will do
Conduct and administer fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, establishing rates for services, and coordinating financial reporting.
Consult with medical, business, and community groups to discuss service problems, respond to community needs, enhance public relations, coordinate activities and plans, and promote health programs.
Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures for the facility or medical unit.
Maintain computerized record management systems to store and process data such as personnel activities and information, and to produce reports.
Develop or expand and implement medical programs or health services that promote research, rehabilitation, and community health.
Direct or conduct recruitment, hiring and training of personnel.
Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of medical, nursing, technical, clerical, service, maintenance, and/or other personnel.
Establish work schedules and assignments for staff, according to workload, space and equipment availability.
Inspect facilities and recommend building or equipment modifications to ensure emergency readiness and compliance to access, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Maintain awareness of advances in medicine, government regulations, health insurance changes, and financing options.
Monitor the use of diagnostic services, inpatient beds, facilities, and staff to ensure effective use of resources and assess the need for additional staff, equipment, and services.

Qualifications:
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Graduate of an accredited college with a degree in business, sociology, public realtions, or related field. Required
4-6 years Health care Preferred
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Customer and Personal Service
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
English Language
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Personnel and Human Resources
Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Communicating with others to convey information effectively, including staff, volunteers, patients and families.
Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
