Robert Half Senior Accountant in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts
Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing organization in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting activities, and helping leadership make informed business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting knowledge, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead key close activities across monthly and annual reporting cycles for multiple entities, including recording journal entries and coordinating intercompany accounting.
• Perform detailed reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and submit recurring sales tax filings while maintaining compliance with applicable reporting deadlines.
• Develop and evaluate financial reports, including revenue trends and product profitability analyses, to support operational decision-making.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process by compiling financial data and assisting with planning activities.
• Analyze financial results against budget and prior-year performance, then summarize notable variances for management review.
• Partner with division leadership on ad hoc projects that support business performance and financial visibility.
• Assist with external audit requests and help complete other financial compliance obligations as needed.
Requirements
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience in a senior-level capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of month-end close, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and solid skills across Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to adapt quickly, manage shifting deadlines, and balance multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Infor Visual is preferred; manufacturing or cost accounting experience is an advantage.
