Electrical Engineer

Job Description

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the research, design, selection, development, testing, documentation, and support of electronic components, products, and systems in high precision instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Research and design electronic components and systems for high precision instrumentation.

  • Develop and test electronic systems to ensure functionality and reliability.

  • Document processes and systems for future reference and development.

  • Provide support for electronic components and systems, troubleshooting as necessary.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

  • Minimum of three years of experience in electronics system design and development.

  • Experience with PCB design/layout including both digital and analog circuitry.

  • Proficiency in PCB schematic capture and layout using Eagle or similar PCB design tools.

  • Experience with engineering bench equipment such as power supplies, DVM, oscilloscope, analyzers, and signal generators.

  • Experience in designing microcontrollers and digital control systems.

  • Proficiency in Altera/Intel PLD programming with the Quartus II design tool or similar FPGA/PLD tools.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience using an IDE for programming, configuration, and debugging of digital devices in Assembly, C, and C++.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in motion control and embedded C.

  • Firmware development experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of West Berlin, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
