Job Title: Commercial Roofing and Exteriors
Job Description
Join sheet metal and roofing crews engaged in the fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of sheet metal products, roofing systems, and related exterior structures on commercial and industrial construction projects. The position focuses on small to mid-size projects, with occasional large-scale work, and requires a hands-on leader who can plan work, direct crews, ensure quality and safety, and support both new construction and renovation projects.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of sheet metal and roofing personnel engaged in fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of sheet metal products, roofing systems, siding, and exterior components.
Plan, organize, schedule, and inspect the work of skilled roofers, sheet metal workers, and trades helpers to ensure projects meet quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.
Oversee all phases of roofing work, including tear-offs, new roof installation, repairs, and ongoing maintenance of various roofing systems.
Review and evaluate work progress for roofing and sheet metal crews, providing guidance, feedback, and direction to maintain productivity and workmanship standards.
Inspect re-roofing and related roofing work while in progress and upon completion to verify conformance to specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
Perform or oversee infrared and thermal inspections of roofing systems to identify water infiltration and other potential issues.
Evaluate project requirements and determine roofing and sheet metal material needs for each job, including calculating quantities and ordering materials in a timely manner.
Maintain maintenance logs and roof system warranty records, ensuring accurate documentation of work performed and warranty conditions.
Coordinate with bonding and warranty representatives regarding roofs under warranty and ensure compliance with warranty terms.
Work directly with local leadership to communicate daily on current and upcoming projects, including staffing, scheduling, and material needs.
Support the installation and repair of sheet metal, roofing, siding, and exteriors using hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools as needed.
Participate in general labor tasks related to commercial construction, including equipment installation, concrete-related work, and other duties as required to support project completion.
Provide on-site leadership to crews ranging from 2 to 10 team members, ensuring safe work practices and adherence to company standards.
Complete related duties as required to support successful execution of commercial and industrial construction projects.
Pay: $20 - $35 Depending on Experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Bend, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
