METAL FABRICATOR Responsibilities include all phases of sheet metal work, from the initial plan to the final assembly in the field. Take measurements on project site. Consult with clients on the selection of sheet metal material, thickness and technical choices. Prepare and process sheet metal in the factory for profiling, cutting, and bending. Prepare parts for roofs, water collectors and shelters. Work with flat plastic-coated and corrugated sheet metal with a rebate, sandwich panels and aluminum. Cut, profile, bend and process the rebate and assemble on site with rebate closing machine, or manually. Using an Abkant, process assembly parts like edges, shelters, roofs, gutter covers and side profiles. Prepare decorative coverings with facades, windows, doors and parapets and profile attics for wall covering. Adapt and assemble gutters and ensure correct slope for free flow. Assemble pipes per water catchments for water removal. Work on chimneys, including assembly of metal covers.
Requirements:
2 years of experience as above or as a Sheet Metal Worker for construction projects. Experience must include: 1.Working on construction projects. 2.Reading blueprints and schematics. 3.Taking measurements and verifying conformance of workpiece with project drawings and specifications. 4.Measuring, sketching and marking dimension and layout material to be cut and fabricated. 5.Using power and hand tools to fabricate metal components. 6.Programming and operating Electronic Control Metal Shear and CNC Metal Folding Machine. 7.Operating fabrication hand operated machinery. 8.Assembling various metal components for chimneys caps, scuppers, leader heads, roof edges, gutter, vent pipes flashing, and louvers. 9.Soft soldering for joining copper, stainless steel and galvanized steel sheet metal.
