Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. This contract position requires expertise in managing full-cycle accounting processes, preparing financial statements, and overseeing general ledger activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
• Oversee intercompany transactions and reconcile accounts across multiple entities.
• Conduct balance sheet and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Utilize accounting software such as Microsoft Great Plains, NetSuite, and SAP to perform daily tasks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Provide insights into partnership breakouts, including real estate, marketing, and software ventures.
• Support the team with adjusting journal entries and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain communication with external resources, including retired managers, when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with business casual dress code and hybrid work policies. Requirements • A minimum of 7 years of experience as an accountant, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, and Great Plains.
• Strong command of month-end close activities and journal entry processes.
• Expertise in preparing financial statements and conducting account reconciliations.
• Familiarity with intercompany accounting and low-volume entries.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
