CONTRACT RATE

Engineer Aid - $35.92/hour

Junior Engineer - $50.16/hour

Engineer Assistant - $53.51/hour

This position will be filled as an Engineer Aide, Junior Engineer of Engineer Assistant, based on candidate qualifications. 

Engineer Aide

Overview The Engineer Aide, under general supervision, perform water, fiber-optic and electrical customer service engineering for the District. Initiate stakeholder engagement by meeting directly with internal and external agencies, and customers to assess, design, and communicate the needs and expectations for electrical, fiber-optic and water infrastructure. Prepare applications for easements and permits.

Responsibilities

Perform field studies and prepare designs and cost estimates for electrical, fiber-optic and water service.

Communicate with internal and external customers daily to evaluate, design, document, determine and communicate the customer's needs and expectations for electrical, fiber-optic and water service.

Prepare and submit applications for easements and permits associated with projects.

Write correspondence, technical specifications and reports, memorandums and other documents.

Participate in pre-construction meeting between District operations personnel and customer/developers to review plans, specifications and work scope.

Perform inspections during and after construction to ensure compliance with the design specifications.
