Benedict's Bus Service Diesel Mechanic in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania
Benedict's Bus Service is seeking a skilled and dependable Full-Time Diesel Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty tractors, trailers, and buses
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and required state/federal inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including air and hydraulic brakes, tires, and wheel systems
- Handle on-site repairs and road calls as needed
- Utilize company-provided shop tools and service truck
- Enter maintenance data accurately using computer-based tracking systems
- Work independently with strong accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Provide excellent service and communication to our drivers and customers
Qualifications
- Experience with diesel engines, heavy-duty vehicles, and preventive maintenance
- PA State Inspection Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong computer and data-entry skills
- Valid CDL A or B preferred --- or willingness to obtain one
- Own set of tools (preferred)
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
