Develop Tioga Career Pathways Coordinator in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania

The Career Pathways Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing career-connected learning opportunities for students/participants. This role involves building partnerships with industry leaders, organizing career-focused events and job fairs, identifying work-based learning opportunities (including job shadowing, internships and apprenticeships) and guiding individuals toward meaningful, high-demand employment. This role collaborates with local employers, schools, workforce development partners, and job seekers by increasing awareness of career opportunities and connecting participants to event follow-up activities, training programs, and support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Coordination: Organize and conduct career days, job fairs, networking events, and industry tours; including coordination, vendor management, and marketing to participants.
- Employer Engagement: Cultivate relationships with local business, industry, and community partners to identify in-demand jobs, secure participation in career days and job fairs, facilitate job shadowing, internship and apprenticeship opportunities and build a talent pipeline.
- Participant Follow-Up & Support: Connect participants with workforce development organizations, employers and support services (e.g., transportation assistance, educational and training resources, workforce development resources) to assist with their employment plans.
- Pathways Development: Collaborate with educational, industry, and workforce development partners to identify and map career pathways in key sectors that align with business and industry needs.
- Data Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and record data in management information systems to track outcomes, grant deliverables, and program performance.
- Outreach & Promotion: Represent the organization at community meetings and promote programs to target populations.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, education, human resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 2+ years in workforce development, career coaching, community outreach, event planning, or human resources.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills to engage employers and community partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.
- Knowledge of local labor market trends and resources. o Strong interpersonal and networking skills to engage employers and community partners.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple, concurrent projects.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends for events
- Other: Valid driver's license for travel to functions and sites.
