Principal – Building Structures - Wellington

Provide technical input and leadership across large scale structural engineering projects within the Property & Buildings Group, managing the scope and coordinating resources to deliver technical excellence for our clients.

Be a promoter of innovative client focussed design solutions. Creating an industry leading profile. Prepare and review complex technical project reports, pursuits and proposals and develop strong client relationships through excellent service delivery. Assist in the development of strategy and delivery of key regionally strategic bids, ensuring that all significant opportunities are maximised for success.

Develop and mentor the team to increase technical capability ensuring exceptional service and solutions provided to clients across Aotearoa.

About you:

  • Chartered Professional Engineer in New Zealand.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in Building Structures Engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of structural seismic design and earthquake engineering requirements in New Zealand

  • Work experience in a large consultancy environment with track records of projects like commercial builds, hospitals, universities, hotels and apartments

  • Able to work effectively and competently with people at all levels; within and external to the organisation.
