Sod Farm Laborer
Requirements:
- No minimum education or prior experience required
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions
- Able to do extensive walking, pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, and repetitive movements
- Must follow all safety rules and employer policies
Job Description:
Cultivate, plant, cut, mow, water, fertilize, and harvest sod; operate tractors and sod farm equipment; perform general clean up and maintenance of equipment; assist with delivery of products. Employer will comply with all applicable Colorado agricultural labor laws, including SB 21-087 and COMPS Order #38.
Anticipated Hours of Work Per Week:
40 hours per week
Schedule:
Monday--Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (8 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch); no regular Saturday or Sunday hours.
Anticipated Period of Employment:
February 2, 2026 -- December 1, 2026

Job Location:
Primary worksite: 2406 E. County Road 60, Wellington, CO 80549 (Larimer County)
Additional worksite: 27027 County Road 25, Greeley, CO 80634 (Weld County)
Pay:
- $16.28 per hour
- Paid weekly
- Standard payroll deductions, plus a 0.45% deduction (with equal employer match) for state-required family/medical leave
Overtime (Non-Range Positions):
Effective 1/1/25: Overtime must be paid after 48 hours/week, or 56 hours/week for up to 22 "peak weeks" for highly seasonal employers.
