Treasure Island Resort & Casino Dual Rate Dealer/ Assistant Pit Supervisor in Welch, Minnesota

Pay Rate: $6.31 an hour plus tips and $22.50 an hour as an Assistant Pit Supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exchange cash for chips

  • Deal the games (i.e. blackjack, three card poker, pai gow etc.) efficiently and in accordance with established policies and procedures

  • Provide continuous quality entertainment and service to guests

  • Protect the integrity of the game and table inventory

  • Operate the table games software

  • Monitor table activity and guest play ensuring compliance with Title 31 guidelines

  • Correct dealer errors and settle player disputes

  • Initiate and verify fills and credits for tables

  • Issue comps following established guidelines

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required Knowledge and Certification:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

  • 6 months table games experience

Preferred Knowledge and Certification:

  • Previous supervisory experience

  • Proven knowledge of basic strategy and (+) and (-) count system

Required Skills:

  • Accurate and detail-oriented

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Above average math skills

Required Abilities:

  • Ability to work fast and efficiently

  • Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene

  • Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner

  • Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to stand for long periods throughout the day with some walking

  • Must be able to reach and twist routinely

  • Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely

  • Must have the ability to independently lift up to 5 pounds infrequently

  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions

  • Must have good eye hand coordination

  • Must have the ability to deal at least 350 hands per hour

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is performed primarily on the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays

  • Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals

  • High volume direct public contact
