As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support loss prevention through observation and quick reporting. You will greet shoppers and team members, assist with customer service needs, and communicate clearly with store leadership. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entry and exit points, receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, as permitted by post orders and site conditions.
Monitor for suspicious activity, potential theft, and policy violations, and help to deter loss by maintaining a visible presence and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, and fire or alarm activations, and coordinate with law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed.
Complete reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate key information to incoming personnel and/or management to support consistent coverage.
Minimum Requirements:
Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
