Position Summary The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials. This role supports warehouse and production operations by ensuring accurate, timely, and safe handling of goods. Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently Load, unload, move, stack, and store materials and products Inspect forklifts before and after use; report maintenance or safety issues Maintain accurate inventory movement and documentation Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free Assist with general warehouse duties as needed Qualifications Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification) Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Strong attention to safety and detail Basic math and record-keeping skills Reliable attendance and punctuality Work Environment Warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting Exposure to moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures
