Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Full-Time, up to $35 an hour with weekly pay

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic care team at Webster Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center! You will assist in the provision of collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Education & Experience
Minimum associate degree in occupational therapy assistant from an accredited program
CEU's per state licensure requirements
COTA license in Massachusetts is required
Newly licensed grads are welcome to apply
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the provision of collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist
Under a physician's order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care
Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program
Consults with and trains patients, residents, and caregivers
Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor
Documents activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basis
Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
Participates in clinical program development and implementation
May perform additional duties as requested by supervisor
Specific Requirements
Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary
Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient care
Requires intense attention and concentration
Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others
Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds
Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language
