Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Full-Time, up to $35 an hour with weekly pay

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic care team at Webster Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center! You will assist in the provision of collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Education & Experience

  • Minimum associate degree in occupational therapy assistant from an accredited program

  • CEU's per state licensure requirements

  • COTA license in Massachusetts is required

  • Newly licensed grads are welcome to apply

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the provision of collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist

  • Under a physician's order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care

  • Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program

  • Consults with and trains patients, residents, and caregivers

  • Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor

  • Documents activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basis

  • Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations

  • Participates in clinical program development and implementation

  • May perform additional duties as requested by supervisor

Specific Requirements

  • Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary

  • Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient care

  • Requires intense attention and concentration

  • Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others

  • Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds

  • Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language
