    What You'll Do

  • Provide instruction and support for elementary students with diverse learning needs

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices

  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction

  • Build strong relationships with students and families

  • Contribute to a positive and supportive school culture

  • Conducts assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify student needs

  • Participates in IEP meetings and develops Individualized Education Plans

  • Implements IEPs and behavior intervention plans

  • Collaborates with staff, families, and outside agencies

  • Supports students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth

  • Maintains accurate records and monitors student progress

  • Encourages family engagement and communication

  • Participates in ongoing professional learning

    Physical Demands

    Work is performed in a standard school environment.

    Licensure / Endorsement Requirements

    Preferred candidates will hold one or more of the following Iowa endorsements:

  • K - 6 Elementary Classroom Teacher - 102

  • K - 12 Strategist I - All - 259

  • K - 8 Instructional Strategist I: Mild/Moderate - 260

  • Other applicable Iowa content endorsements may also be considered!

    Candidates who are eligible for licensure or are currently completing an approved teacher preparation program are encouraged to apply.
