Job Description:
We're currently seeking an SCA- Electronics Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on physical access control systems (PACS), CCTV Systems, and IDS systems including access keypads, card readers, sensors, control panels, application server configuration, low-voltage wiring, Camera systems, and IDS fence systems on the Ft Leavenworth military installation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position requires a strong technical background in electronic security systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining mission-critical security systems that protect personnel, property, and sensitive information at Ft. Leavenworth.
Performs nonroutine and occasionally heavy labor tasks related to onsite physical access control systems (PACS), CCTV Systems, and IDS systems including access keypads, card readers, sensors, control panels, application server configuration, low-voltage wiring, Camera systems, and IDS fence systems on the Ft Leavenworth military installation
Operates trucks, hand tools, light (1-man) power tools, and aerial man-lifts
Maintains appropriate logs of activities
Tests, calibrates, repairs, and modifies control and instrumentation systems at onsite locations under general supervision
Assignments are undertaken independently on a regular basis
Prepares required field and office reports of various activities and findings
Initiates basic reports and/or establishes and maintains logs and records.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of experience working on security systems
Ability to obtain access to base
Valid driver’s license
Must be a US citizen
Ability to be on call as needed for service order work after hours and weekends.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant background in low voltage electronics, physical security, access control, maintenance, and repair activities
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL REQ UIREMENTS:
Ability to work at high elevations
Lift and carry 30+ pounds
Pull, stand, and work in confined spaces; crouch for long periods of time; and work under inclement cold weather conditions
