HTC Global Services Inc Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer – Quality & Manufacturing in Wayne, Michigan

Position Description:

Join the team driving quality excellence in vehicle assembly as a PVT Quality Engineer. You will play a critical role in analyzing and resolving quality issues for components and processes in the assembly plant and integrated remote build centers. This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with Body Exterior engineering, focusing on static and dynamic sealing for Bronco roofs, water, S&R, and wind testing, as well as root cause analysis, containment actions, and corrective solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve quality issues on incoming components and assembly processes

  • Collaborate with the Body Exterior engineering team on quality objectives, including static/dynamic sealing for Bronco roofs and water, S&R, and wind testing

  • Conduct daily reviews of warranty claims, customer, and dealership feedback, and bin claims accurately

  • Engage dealerships for parts and repair diagnoses and participate in customer callbacks

  • Perform root cause analyses of returned parts and develop Interim Containment and Permanent Corrective Actions

  • Support Stop Ships / Stop Builds, Campaigns, Audits, and other quality-related tasks in the assembly plant

  • Lead engineering commodity changes for minor product launches and cost reduction actions

  • Support the Variability Reduction Team (VRT) and work with supplier partners to resolve subsystem component quality issues

  • Lead engineering trials and running change implementations for subsystems

  • Issue Engineering Alerts and pursue authorization of product changes to meet quality objectives

  • Maintain Vehicle Functional Group (VFG) level quality documentation and prepare presentations for management reviews

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in PD/Quality/Program/Manufacturing environments

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work fully onsite at the assembly plant

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field

  • Six Sigma Black Belt training

  • Experience as a Design Release Engineer, familiar with WERS release tools

  • Experience with vehicle subsystem quality, variability reduction, and supplier collaboration
