Hu-Gen Farms Ag Equipment Operator in Wayland, New York

We are a large dairy operation. We run a variety of equipment, John Deere, Case, Claas, etc. We grow crops (tillage, planting, plant care) such as, corn and hay and do manure application. In addition, we assist a few local farms in their operations: this would involve growing crops, manure application, chopping, cutting and tillage work for crops and store them properly. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, etc, attach/detach implements, be able to handle working in high humidity, clean work areas, direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting, haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil, load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities, load and unload materials and commodities, load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, maintain grounds and landscaping, mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery, operate self propelled machinery, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment, tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops, use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools.
Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bailers and other hay equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt moving equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, manure spreading equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, silage choppers, skid steers, spreaders, straight frame trucks, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, hay, silage, trees, corn and types of hay. Manure handling for disposal to fields for fertilizers to crops. Workers do not work with any pesticides for plants in any of these needed areas of work.
Requires: *Three months experience *Drug screen post hire at employer expense *Lifting 50 pounds *Frequent stooping or bending over *Extensive sitting or walking, pushing or pulling *Exposure to extreme temperatures * Must be able to obtain a Class D operator's license with the Farm "F" endorsement.
