Job Title: Lead Service Technician Job Description
As a Lead Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in leading crews to repair and refurbish mobile office trailers. These trailers are typically found on commercial construction sites. Your work will include a variety of tasks, requiring a diverse skill set to ensure that trailers are ready for use.
Responsibilities
Lead crews in repairing mobile office trailers, including tasks such as framing, finish carpentry, electrical work, flooring, plumbing, painting, and running gear repairs.
Conduct check-in and check-out inspections to determine the scope of repairs and assess any damages for customer invoicing.
Create floor plan drawings and perform modifications as requested by customers.
Maintain inventory levels of all necessary equipment, tools, parts, and value-added products required for service tasks.
Provide courteous customer service, explaining all repairs and services both over the phone and in person.
Ensure trailers are ready for scheduled delivery dates, meeting the stated quality levels.
Perform service-related tasks in the yard and complete appropriate paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
Conduct HVAC system checks and maintenance in accordance with company guidelines.
May be assigned duties at field locations based on business needs.
Essential Skills
Basic carpentry knowledge
Basic electrical and wiring skills, including wiring ethernet cables and phones
Ability to operate a company vehicle safely with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Strong leadership abilities to lead by example
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Plumbing knowledge
EPDM/Metal roof expertise
Cat 6 wiring skills
HVAC certification or EPA certification

Work Environment
You will work both independently and as part of a team of 2 or 3 others to repair trailers. Work may be conducted in the yard, weather permitting, or inside warehouses during colder seasons. Steel toe boots are required for work, and the first few days include safety orientation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wayland, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
