Biology Instructor
LOCATION
: Waycross
DUTIES:
Successful applicants will be responsible for overall classroom instruction for degree level courses to include: preparing lesson plans, maintaining department guidelines and standards, evaluating students by assigning grades and interact with other faculty and deans.
Minimum Qualifications:
A masters degree in Biology OR a masters degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Biology courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience at the secondary and/or postsecondary level
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to develop and evaluate lesson plans
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evening hours
- Ability to juggle multiple and competing priorities
- Ability to teach at any campus where Biology classes are taught
- Ability to work well in the classroom and supervise students in laboratory settings
- Ability to direct and assess students progress in achieving required competencies
- Ability to handle administrative responsibilities related to teaching of courses, data collection and reporting for licensing agencies, accreditation agencies and/or College

SALARY/BENEFITS:
Salary will be determined in accordance with guidelines established by the Technical College System of Georgia. Benefits include the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program, State of Georgia holidays, and annual/sick leave.
