Location: Waverly, TN

About the Role

Amergis is seeking an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students and educational teams within a school-based environment. In this role, you will conduct behavioral evaluations, create and implement behavior intervention plans, and provide consultation, training, and ongoing support to teachers and staff.

The BCBA functions as a clinical educator—observing, assessing, modeling strategies, and promoting high-quality behavioral programming across classrooms.

The district is flexible and will consider full-time, part-time, hybrid, or onsite schedules, with a strong likelihood of continuing into next school year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct behavioral evaluations, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), and data analysis

  • Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

  • Provide consultation and training for teachers, administrators, and classroom staff

  • Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs

  • Monitor treatment integrity and ensure fidelity of interventions

  • Deliver professional development and modeling of evidence-based strategies

  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and professional standards

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to IEP processes when needed

    Minimum Requirements

  • Active BCBA Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Teaching, or related field

  • Experience delivering ABA services in school settings preferred

  • Minimum one year of pediatric experience preferred

  • Complies with all professional practice standards

  • CPR certification (if applicable)

  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as required)

  • Current health certificate (as required)

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
