    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    Waverly-Shell Rock Community School District seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic STEM Teacher to join our middle school team. In this role, you will inspire curiosity and critical thinking in our middle school learners by designing and delivering engaging, project-based lessons that integrate science, technology, engineering, and math in real-world contexts. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a critical developmental stage while working collaboratively in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging STEM lessons

  • Design hands-on, project-based learning experiences that connect classroom content to real-world applications

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary and exploratory team members

  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students

  • Maintain effective classroom management and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment

  • Assess student work, provide meaningful feedback, and maintain accurate records

  • Communicate regularly and effectively with students, families, and administration

  • Participate actively in team meetings and professional learning communities

  • Participate in professional development and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in STEM education

  • Support the school's mission of growing, learning, and leading

  • Contribute to a culture where all students experience belonging, opportunity, and achievement
