Construction Project Manager – Commercial Construction
We are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, including schedule, budget, quality, safety, and subcontractor coordination. The ideal candidate has a strong background working for a general contractor and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction planning through project closeout.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
Oversee contract administration, including subcontract agreements, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
Ensure projects are constructed in accordance with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
Lead project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Enforce jobsite safety standards and company safety policies.
Review and approve pay applications, invoices, and project financials.
Conduct site visits and collaborate closely with superintendents to ensure quality and productivity.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor.
Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor scopes.
Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, and cost control.
Experience with commercial project types such as office, retail, healthcare, industrial, or mixed-use developments.
Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project, or similar).
Thorough knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and contract administration.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 30 certification.
Experience with negotiated and hard-bid projects.
LEED or sustainability experience.
Experience working on projects $5M+ in value.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wauwatosa, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
