Job Title: TIG Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to perform high-quality welding on stainless steel components used in pressure vessels, tanks, piping, and process skids. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings to meet exact specifications. This role demands adherence to both standard and sanitary welding practices where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components used in pressure vessels, tanks, piping, and process skids.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings to meet exact specifications.

  • Set up welding equipment, including selection of filler materials, amperage, and gas flow.

  • Fit, tack, and weld components while maintaining tight tolerances and high cosmetic standards.

  • Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications.

  • Work closely with fabrication, engineering, and quality teams to resolve fit-up or weld issues.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following safety policies.

  • Assist with grinding, finishing, and general fabrication tasks as needed.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and safety.

Work Environment

This position operates on a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday. Work is conducted indoors in a climate-controlled, brand-new facility. The facility is modern and clean, requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as a welding helmet, gloves, and safety gear. The role involves standing, welding, grinding, and handling metal components

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Wausau, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
