Actalent Technician in Wausau, Wisconsin

Job Title: Blending Technician

The Blending Technician runs the blending room each day and helps a small team make food products the right way. This job is hands-on and focuses on mixing ingredients, running machines, cleaning equipment, and making sure everything is done safely and correctly.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of about 8 people in the blending area

  • Assign daily jobs like weighing ingredients, mixing batches, running machines, and cleaning up

  • Follow the production schedule and make sure all batches get done each day

  • Weigh ingredients carefully using recipes before each batch

  • Set up and run blending machines with the correct settings

  • Take machines apart after each batch so they can be cleaned

  • Make sure the room and all equipment are cleaned and sanitized every time

  • Watch the blending process to make sure products look and turn out right

  • Check product quality during and after each run

  • Fix small machine problems or ask for help with bigger ones

  • Write down what was produced, machine settings used, and any issues

  • Make sure everyone follows safety rules and uses equipment properly

  • Help keep the team working well together and on track

What You Need to Know

  • Experience working in food production, especially blending or mixing

  • Experience using blending or production machines

  • Basic math skills for weighing ingredients and setting machines

  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation rules in food manufacturing

  • Ability to take machines apart and put them back together

  • Ability to run a shift and give clear instructions to others

  • Good organization and attention to detail

  • Ability to work the shift: 2:30 PM – 12:30 AM, Monday–Thursday

Extra Helpful Experience

  • Past experience as a lead or senior worker

  • Experience working in a controlled or technical food production area

  • Comfort talking with a team and giving instructions

  • Strong focus on cleanliness, safety, and quality

Work Environment

  • Food manufacturing facility with a small, close‑knit team

  • Hands-on work with machines, ingredients, and cleaning equipment

  • Frequent cleaning and sanitizing between batches

  • Four 10-hour shifts each week

  • Clean, organized, and safety-focused workspace

  • Team-oriented culture where people help each other

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Wausau, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
