Job Description Summary
The FLIGHT DECK Communications Specialist works alongside the FLIGHT DECK communications team to support planning and execution of initiatives designed to engage employees in our lean transformation. FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace’s proprietary lean operating model, is how we work and deliver for our customers.
As part of the FLIGHT DECK organization, you’ll work across the business supporting enterprise-wide initiatives, site-focused engagement, and persona-based activations as we accelerate adoption of FLIGHT DECK globally. At an enterprise level, you will help project manage workstreams to keep employees up to date with the latest information and signage. You will also be responsible for developing and executing a strong communications cadence with our manufacturing and maintenance site-based communications network to share best practices and build alignment. As we drive focus to engage different persona-groups, you’ll help coordinate communications related to these activations. You will also serve as a liaison with the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team to identify and help execute key safety-related storytelling opportunities.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Supports enterprise-wide initiatives in collaboration with the FLIGHT DECK and Operations communications teams
Leads site communications network operations – from managing database and regular group updates to coordinating monthly calls
Helps project manage key transformation workstreams including holistic upgrades to FLIGHT DECK signage and engagement across the business
Coordinates communications deliverables including layout, scheduling, delivery, and engagement analytics
Supports virtual and in-person event-based activations including scheduling, attendee management, tracking, pre- / post-event attendee engagement and survey follow up
Serves as a liaison with the EHS team to identify risk areas and coordinate storytelling to share priority messaging with employees
Develops standard work for recurring activities, driving operational rigor within the FLIGHT DECK communications team
Collaborates with the broader communications team to ensure consistency and coordination of messaging and process, and to contribute to key priorities within the team
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in corporate communications, preferably a manufacturing environment
Desired Characteristics

Ability to work under pressure and to deliver on deadline
Understanding of contemporary communication channels

Travel 5-10%
The base pay range for this position is 98,000 - 131,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 4/16/2026.
