Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator with experience in set-up and operating of printing, converting, and slitting machines. This role involves setting up and operating converting presses, slitters, and flexographic printing machines. Candidates without direct experience can start as a Machine Adjuster and train to advance to this position.
Hours : 1st shift 6am-230pm, 2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm, & 3rd shift 10pm-630am
Pay : Pay up to $24hr starting, with an increase after probation period as well.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate converting presses, slitters, and flexographic printing machines.
Perform machine setups, which can take 3-4 hours.
Handle large paper rolls, ink, glue, and wax.
Configure formers, gears, and cylinders.
Maintain levels of ink, glue, and wax during operations.
Ensure machines run at optimal speeds.
Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
Utilize hand tools, tape measures, wrenches, and screwdrivers for setups and quality assurance.
Essential Skills
Experience in machine operation, particularly in production and assembly environments.
Skills in setting up and adjusting machines, with a focus on flexography and printing press operations.
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain printing and converting machines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in paper, plastic, cardboard, or film industries.
Experience with handling large rolls of material.
Mechanical aptitude, including the use of hand tools and measuring instruments.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Minimum of 1 year experience in production or manufacturing.

Work Environment
The facility houses 40 machines in total and offers a spacious work area. However, be prepared for warmer conditions in the summer as there is no air conditioning. The role involves working with inks, which can be messy, and requires wearing ear plugs and steel toe boots for safety.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
