Our recruiting firm is working with a well-established manufacturing organization in Waukegan, IL to identify an Inside Sales Representative to support customer engagement, order processing and internal sales operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a customer-centric mindset, and experience supporting distributors, field sales teams, and end-users in a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview:\ The Inside Sales Representative will serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, order support, and internal sales coordination. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Inside Sales Representative Responsibilities:\ - Support overall sales activities by working with field sales staff, distributors and customers to ensure satisfaction and ongoing business\ - Answer incoming calls and respond to email correspondence\ - Serve as the main internal contact for assigned sales territories\ - Provide backup coverage for other inside sales team members as needed\ - Maintain account information, order requirements, and customer details within the ERP system\ - Enter and process customer orders accurately and efficiently\ - Collaborate with production, purchasing, and other internal teams to ensure orders ship correctly and on schedule\ - Assist with expediting distributor follow-up requests\ - Promote use of online ordering or customer portal systems when applicable\ - Support invoice processing and ensure order accuracy, including pricing and discounts\ - Provide basic assistance for technical questions, escalating when needed\ - Process returns according to company procedures\ - Enter customer activities, notes, and follow-ups into a CRM system\ - Perform additional duties as assigned by the Inside Sales Manager
