ITW Maintenance Repair Technician - 1st shift in Watertown, Wisconsin
Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Repair Technician repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, production machines, and equipment testing instruments, hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments. This position installs functional and structural parts in devices or equipment while performing preventative maintenance on equipment and repair electrical equipment as needed.
Perform emergency repairs as needed.
Rebuild equipment as required.
Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical problems and take corrective action.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Weld and fabricate as needed.
Instruct Machine Operators on proper machine maintenance.
Install new equipment, rebuild, or modify existing equipment.
Operate milling machines and lathes to produce needed repair parts and fixtures.
Set up special machines and tooling with machine operators.
Working Conditions
Noise, seasonal temperatures, oil, and dirt
Heavy lifting, bending, and standing on feet for long periods of time.
Extra hours as needed.
Required Skill, Education and Experience
Reading/writing and math including fractions and decimals required.
Strong mechanical ability.
Demonstrated ability to work well with others and the ability to work independently.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Technical school diploma in related field plus two (2) years of machine maintenance experience or four (4) years or more years of machine maintenance or equivalent experience preferred.
Compensation Information:
$30.00 - $35.00
