Location: Waterloo, WI
Type: Full-Time Internship
Duration: Summer 2026: Starting June 1st
Role Overview
The Global Logistics Summer Intern will support key transportation, process, and analytics initiatives across our global logistics network. This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world logistics operations, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The intern will work closely with global logistics, transportation, and supply chain teams to drive cost awareness, process consistency, and performance visibility.
This role is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or Business who is interested in global transportation, analytics, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Transportation Cost Reduction & Courier Network Assessment
Assist in evaluating current transportation routes, shipment flows, and carrier usage to identify potential cost-saving opportunities across the global courier network.
Support data analysis and preparation for a global transportation RFP, including lane reviews, spend analysis, and opportunity sizing.
Collaborate with global and regional logistics teams to understand how transportation decisions impact cost and service.
- Process Documentation & Standardization
Help create, update, and organize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key global logistics and transportation processes.
Learn and document how different teams execute logistics processes across regions.
Gather feedback from stakeholders to help improve clarity, consistency, and usability of processes.
- Logistics KPI Reporting & Data Visualization
Support the development and enhancement of dashboards and reports that track logistics KPIs such as:
On-time delivery performance
Freight and courier spend
Carrier service trends
Use tools like Excel and Power BI to help visualize data and improve reporting.
Participate in ongoing efforts to evolve and improve logistics metrics and visibility.
- Supplier & Carrier Performance Analysis
Assist in collecting and analyzing supplier and carrier performance data, including lead times, reliability, and service levels.
Help support vendor and carrier scorecards used for performance reviews.
Contribute insights that support continuous improvement discussions with suppliers and partners.

Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working with data in Excel; interest or experience with Power BI is a plus.
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a global environment.
