You’ll take on complex diagnostic challenges, diving deep into electronic assemblies at the component level to uncover issues and shape effective solutions. Your work will directly influence product quality as you perform functional testing on new builds, uphold rigorous specifications, and maintain precise test documentation. Beyond hands‑on troubleshooting, you’ll also play a key part in elevating our test environments—identifying equipment‑related issues and contributing to ongoing improvements that boost efficiency and strengthen our operational excellence. Responsibilities:
Follows operational procedures (routing, work instructions, etc.) and maintains production records associated with electrical assemblies.
Perform functional testing per part specific pre - established test procedure
Test and troubleshoots Radio Frequency (RF) electronic assemblies down to board/component level.
Performs troubleshooting and tuning utilizing test set hardware, fixtures, and software.
Monitor tests through completion, record test data, and service test equipment as required
Follows blueprints, guidelines, and or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met
Perform proper loading and unloading of electronic equipment in test beds
Demonstrate proper use of electronic and manual test equipment
Acquire applicable skill/knowledge certification as required
Comply with safety and hazardous waste disposal programs
Request tools and supplies in accordance with project requirements as needed
Follow plans for production schedules and quality requirements
Understand end use of manufactured products
Demonstrate initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule
Achieve special process certification where applicable
Demonstrate an active role in problem solving
Responsible for the completion of ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Operations Manager
Requirements:
Technology diploma in electrical or related field or equivalent in training and work experience
Minimum 3-5 years Radio Frequency (RF) and electronics experience related to production testing
Knowledge and background in the use of a wide variety of electronic measurement, stimulus and communication instrumentation used to test aerospace products
Must be able to work in a team environment
Demonstrate proper use of simple hand, machine tools and mechanical measuring devices
Strong computer skills in the Microsoft suite of programs
Experience with LabView in relation to cabinet and automation testing is an asset
This position is required to work onsite at our facility in Waterloo, Ontario.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.
The salary range for this role is 54,000 CAD - 93,150 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
