UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital is a 204-bed, community hospital serving the Cedar Valley. Allen Hospital is the busiest hospital in the Cedar Valley. We care for more inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients and cardiac patients than any other hospital in our 10-county service area. United Medical Park and Prairie Parkway offer outpatient care in facilities that are built for your comfort and convenience.
Full-time opportunity to join experienced team (2MD and 2APP)
Efficient, well-supported pulmonary clinic located on hospital campus
Experienced, dedicated, and supportive staff
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30
Shared call coverage with work/life balance
204 bed hospital with established Hospitalist Team
Support from a full range of dedicated specialists and subspecialists
Outpatient clinic equipped with 6 consultation rooms & 1 procedure room
12 bed ICU with Intensivist
Cardio and Pulmonary Rehab onsite
Fully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities
Rewarding mix between outpatient and inpatient
Critical care, hospital consults, pulmonary procedures, and outpatient medicine
Average outpatient volume: 16-20 patients per day
Average 5 patient consults daily (clinic hours only)
3-4 patients daily census in ICU
Full range of office care and diagnostic services for patients with lung disorders such as chronic obstructive lung disease, asthma, sleep apnea, interstitial lung disease, lung nodule, and lung cancer
Ultrasound, Lab, PFT, and Respiratory Therapist on site
Spacious fully equipped surgical room
Exposure to procedures: endobronchial US guided bronchoscopy, CT guided bronchoscopy, pleurx placement, thoracentesis, arterial lines, central lines, dialysis catheters, Chest tube management/placement
Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
Qualifications
MD or DO
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Critical Care
Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of State
Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
J-1 waiver sponsorship available
