Job Title: Welder, Fabricator
Job Description
Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols. Set up parts, fixtures, and basic jigs. Inspect finished welds and verify dimensions using measuring tools. Operate and maintain welding equipment safely. Assist with material handling using shop equipment. Work with supervisors and senior welders to improve quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities

Assist with material handling using shop equipment.
Collaborate with supervisors and senior welders to enhance quality and efficiency.
Essential Skills
3–5 years of MIG and TIG welding experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
Experience welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Strong attention to quality and detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to obtain AWS certification.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior AWS welding certification.
Experience with military, defense, or industrial fabrication.
Familiarity with fixtures, jigs, or more complex weld assemblies.
Basic troubleshooting or process improvement experience.
Forklift or overhead crane experience.
Exposure to tight-tolerance or high-quality production work.

This is a Contract position based out of Waterford, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
