The City of Richland Public Works Department is looking for two well-qualified Engineering Technician III's to join their Design Group!

THE ENGINEERING TECH III POSITION
Join our team as an Engineering Technician III, where you'll take a lead role in producing high-quality Civil 3D designs and supporting complex roadway and utility projects across the City. In this senior technical position, you'll prepare construction plans, perform field inspections, complete engineering calculations, and collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project partners. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver's license.
- Obtain Flagger Certification within six (6) months of hire and maintain for duration in position.
* EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE*
Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, CADD or related field and five (5) years' experience in civil engineering, electrical engineering, engineering technology, construction inspection, or utility projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Recent civil design experience using Civil3d to produce utility and roadway construction plans consistent with City standards and best engineering practices.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Design Group: Performs office engineering and design related work on Public Works projects including AutoCAD / Civil 3D design work.
